How do I decide how what size my renewable heating system should be?
We supply boilers and heat pumps of different sizes, or multiple systems, to deliver the amount of heat needed for each project. IEC specialise in the design, supply and installation of systems ranging from 400kW to 5mW output. Right at the start of any project we will work with the customer to explore the options and pin-point the best design and size for them, practically and financially.
Can the system only be used to heat my commercial process?
No, the same installation can also be connected to heat other new or existing buildings such as farm offices, workshops and domestic properties, all fed off a district-style heating configuration and from one single, cost-effective and eco-friendly heat source. This can be implemented when the new system is installed, or retrospectively as your business and premises grows.
What is RHI?
The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is leading the UK’s wider programme encouraging the use of renewable technology for heat generation, including biomass boilers. The initiative has been established to offer long-term financial support via a scheme that pays participants who generate, and use, renewable energy to heat their buildings. The scheme offers an excellent return on investment alongside savings made from the change in fuel cost with payments calculated per kilowatt-hour (kWh) on the heat generated from an accredited renewable source.
Will my heating installation qualify for the government incentives available?
Once your new heating system is commissioned IEC will handle your RHI application through to accreditation, and the applicable tariff at that time is awarded for a full 20 year period. We will also help and advise all of our customers on staying compliant and maintaining their accreditation.
What are the current and proposed tariffs for RHI support?
