Biomass Heating

New & Used Biomass Boilers

Our biomass heating installations can deliver as much heat as you require. We can design and install systems with one large boiler, or multiple systems to satisfy any need, whilst fit into most new or existing energy buildings as required.

  • Brand new boilers

and heating plant, designed and installed to suit your individual needs

  • Used boilers

often with existing and transferrable RHI support, adapted to meet any fuel and heating requirement

  • Replacement boilers

to renew and revive existing installations that haven’t lasted their intended life span.

IEC have designed and installed heating systems for a variety of customers and can provide turnkey solutions for any heat requirements including:

  • Poultry Heating
  • Crop drying
  • Biomass fuel production
  • District heating
  • Horticulture
  • Event space heating
  • Pools and Spas

Multi-fuel biomass boilers & fuel

If one fuel is unavailable, or increases in price, our boilers can easily be adapted to burn an alternative or utilise self-supplied biomass

Whether you are installing a new, used or replacement plant, we will help you select the best boiler for you, in terms of use, installation and preferred fuel types. Plus, we will design and install a plant that meets the needs of your farm, budget, and business ethos in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and energy output.

IEC boiler systems are designed to burn any kind of biomass fuel

Suitably produced woodchips are low in contaminants, as well as consistent in moisture and chip size, which ensures great efficiency as well as reliable fuel feed and combustion.

As a natural by-product of the harvest, straw can be used as an efficient and cost-effective fuel for biomass boilers and is readily available on the farm every year.

Miscanthus is an ideal fuel for all biomass heating applications. It can be grown locally on areas of land that would not normally support the growing of food, it requires no fertilisers or chemicals, and up to 20 tonnes of crop can be harvested per hectare.

Grain cleanings are an effective and economical fuel for biomass boilers.

Readily available from the harvesting process, oat husks are an effective fuel for biomass boilers.

Virgin wood or oat husk pellets, both offer a high calorific value and easy feeding to the boiler

Biomass Service & Maintenance

IEC has been supplying biomass fuels and renewable heating solutions to the commercial sector especially in the poultry industry, for more than 10 years. With over 300 biomass boiler systems installed and many more serviced, you can rely on us to get the best out of your biomass boiler over the longest time possible.

Commercial biomass boilers require more attention than gas or oil boilers and should be cleaned and serviced regularly to ensure boiler efficiency. Our HETAS accredited biomass team will optimise your organisation’s boiler performance, minimise downtime, maximise your heat output.
